I am a very experienced photographer and have been offering my photographic services to the public since 2010. With me, you don’t have to pay the high fees and print costs associated with the larger studios. My goal is to capture you as you truly are. Photo sessions are relaxed and without pressure to pose in stiff/convoluted ways.
I have travelled to many places around the world taking photos using 35mm film SLR and Digital SLR cameras. You can view some of my work on other websites by visiting the ‘Links’ tab above. I have photographed weddings, corporate events, actors and models, babies and families.
In my spare time, I shoot with my Digital SLR’s, phone camera, and two vintage cameras, one is about 60 years old and the other is about 70 years old.
I have a Diploma in Photography and I am passionate about photography. My goal is to create beautiful, desirable images that you will want to adorn your walls.
My style is journalistic. I take as many candid photos as possible along with some posed portrait shots. During the Wedding Ceremony, I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. Your guests are there to see you, not the back of the photographer. However, sometimes I will need to get in their view to get that shot but I will be out of there ASAP. The posed shots are usually on location and I aim to make them as relaxed and informal as possible to avoid the “rabbit in the headlights” look.
Yes, we do pre-wedding photos sessions. These go for about an hour and half and will be at a mutually agreed location. You will receive the photos on a DVD/USB and the session costs $270.00. This is a great chance to get to know each other and also talk about any ideas you have about photography, the way you’d like your wedding to unfold etc.
Yes, I always meet with potential clients before their wedding and/or pre-wedding session(s). This is a great opportunity to get to know each other, to find out what you expect and what I can deliver and to discuss your wedding day in detail.
Yes, a deposit is required for Weddings and Portraits. This is usually 25 per cent of the cost of the package and any optional extras. This enables me to book that day especially for you. The balance (remaining 75 per cent) is required to be paid in the week before your wedding. If your wedding is taking place outside Sydney and travel costs have been charged, these are required in the week before the wedding as well. If you do not pay a deposit then someone else may take that date.
In most cases I am the only photographer that is required however, should you require an additional photographer, there will be an additional fee of $1,100.00.
In the unlikely event I am sick or incapacitated, I will arrange for another photographer to shoot your wedding. All editing and image re-touching will be undertaken by myself and the package you have purchased shall remain as is. Being a sole-trader this is my livelihood and I take great care of my health.
There are additional costs involved. For relatively short drives, (up to two hours from the Sydney CBD/Martin Place) there may be no charge or just a small travel charge to cover fuel and some of my time. For weddings that take place over three hours drive from the Sydney CBD (Martin Place), there may be a need to book accommodation as well as a charge for the travel time. This can be discussed with you when we first meet. I enjoy travelling and would be only too pleased to capture your out of town wedding.
Professional Photographers study photography for years. We study lighting, composition, poses, the cameras, the way different lenses bend light and can alter a person’s features. We buy the best equipment so that it doesn’t fail during a photo session. We study photo editing software to get the best out of the photos.
As a professional photographer I aim to create memories that will last your lifetime and possibly into your children/grand childrens’ lifetimes. The photo session may end quickly however, for me, it has only just begun as I then must copy the photos to numerous drives (back-ups) straight away to ensure the photos aren’t lost by a hard drive failure or worse. I then process the photos in photo editing software. Depending on the number of photos depends on how long this takes. For weddings with well over 1,000 images, it can take many days to over a week. You will only see the finished product, which is as it should be. My goal is to give you value for your money and to give you the best images I possibly can.
